MLSS Fleet

Fleet and Logistics

To effectively deliver our services across the UK, our operations rely heavily on our fleet of vehicles. We currently operate eight vans, the Guru Nanak Langar Bus, and the MLSS Dental Health Van.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Langar Bus

The Guru Nanak Dev Ji Langar Bus project began in 2014 and was completed in 2016. Its purpose is to provide a safe space for the community to eat, socialise, and receive freshly cooked food. The bus, which is 35 feet long, comfortably seats over 30 people. This project has been one of our most successful and challenging endeavours, and we extend our gratitude to the supporters of MLSS.

The MLSS Bus was purchased in May 2017 and officially launched in November, coinciding with the celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab (birthday). This event was a significant milestone for MLSS. The bus is fully equipped with cooking facilities, including a microwave, gas stove, washing facilities, and a cooking area. It features comfortable black seats, LCD TVs, and special lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere.

MLSS sincerely thanks all the supporters who contributed to making this project a reality.

The bus is in use every week, traveling to various areas served by MLSS and providing meals to all communities, regardless of the weather or circumstances. It is also designed to be used in emergency situations, offering provisions and a safe space for emergency services and the general public.

MLSS DentHealth Van

In 2021, MLSS acquired a new Dental Health Van, which was previously an NHS mobile chiropody unit. The van has since been outfitted with new equipment to function as a mobile dental and health practice. It allows MLSS to visit service users for quick check-ups and preliminary diagnoses. Our team of volunteers, who are qualified health professionals, staff the van. The mobile dental health van has been in use often and is proving to be a great success.

MLSS Van Fleet

MLSS utilises a diverse fleet of vehicles specially adapted to assist with food distribution. All vehicles are branded with the MLSS logo, and the latest additions to the fleet are ULEZ compliant. These vehicles are the backbone of our operations in the UK and are used daily. Without them, MLSS services would not be able to function. We ensure that all our vehicles are well-maintained and regularly serviced.
